If I Ever Die
If I ever die
Send me in
With a quart of Eau Sauvage
After shave lotion, mind you,
A case of Beaujolais Nouveau,
Music by John Coltrane.
If I ever die
Don’t bother to cry
It would have meant to be.
If I ever die
The sun might stop
Shining in the morning.
And again I would I know
I would be fully dead,
Fully in the dark.
If I ever die
Roses might not be roses
Anymore
A kiss might not be a kiss.
But
Your smile
Would still be
My only guiding light.
